Pandemics, wars, political upheavals, and rising energy prices have caused significant disruptions for Danish organizations and businesses in recent years. But what are the expectations for the next 10 years?

CfL, in collaboration with the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS), has explored this question and compiled the results in The Top Executive Barometer 2035.

The key conclusion is that Danish top executives maintain an overall positive outlook for the future, but they also anticipate significant uncertainty.

Thomas Hanssen, CEO of CfL, explains:

"Many leaders' concerns are particularly focused on geopolitics and energy security—external factors that have played a significant role in recent years and are difficult for organizations to control. This highlights the need to strengthen and even train organizational preparedness against external threats."

He adds:

"On the other hand, we see that the focus on well-being and diversity is diminishing. This is partly because many companies already have a solid grasp of these areas but also possibly because these themes are viewed more as HR issues rather than business-critical priorities."
