Purpose of Jungian Type Index

The Jungian Type Index, or JTI, is a tool used to map the kind of personality type you are. It describes the differences between people and how these differences can be useful for individuals as well as in groups.

In work relations, knowing your JTI profile is a useful tool for both you and your team. JTI doesn't judge or rule one personality better than another. Focus is merely on how the differences add to creating synergy and to apply this diversity in a constructive manner.

During the course you will get a solid introduction to the theory and to introduce and utilize JTI in everyday life. You will learn the basic theory and understanding of Jungs Typology as well as knowledge of how to use JTI as a tool for development. It is like getting the inside scoop on understanding yourself better and making teamwork smoother.

How do I access JTI?

It is a prerequisite for participation in the certification course that you have previously completed and passed the course Occupational Testing at CfL or have received equivalent training elsewhere and have documentation for this.

The certification course in JTI is setup as a mix of blended learning, which consists of homework, and three modules, each of which consists of one in person course day.

The course is described below.

Who can use JTI and when is the test used?

The certification course and the tool are both aimed at people in organizations, consultants or HR professionals who works with development processes such as:

  • Communication

Course outline

Before the start of the course, you will get access to an online platform, where you will find all the materials needed and the preparation you need to go through before the in-person modules take place.

To achieve your certification, participation in the entire course, all 3 modules, is required.

Before the first module, you will be introduced to the background and history of JTI, as well as the dimensions and preferences which together is the backbone of the JTI. Additionally, you are required to complete the JTI questionnaire yourself.

Please allocate 2-3 hours for preparation.

You will be provided with your own JTI result. Through exercises and activities, you will delve into the preferences together with your fellow participants.

The course runs from 09:15 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

The focus will be on type dynamics as well as preparation of your feedback conversation.

3-4 hours should be set aside for preparation.

The focus will be on the feedback training with your fellow students.

You will learn about psychometrics and type distribution. In addition, you must train feedback - 4 feedback conversations in total - and prepare a report based on one of the feedback conversations.

2-3 hours should be set aside for preparation. In addition, time must be set aside for 4 feedback as well as report writing.

You and your fellow students will share your individual experiences from the training period. There will also be group exercises and cases. The day will end with an exam.

You are certified in Jungian Type Index (JTI) when you have:

✔ Attended the entire course
✔ Submitted a report
✔ Passed the exam
✔ Signed a user agreement
