Techniques to influence others are critical skills everyone should master in order to work more effectively with a multitude of people in a variety of situations. 

Often, the people we work with have different goals and agendas. To establish meaningful win-win outcomes, we need to know how to influence without power or authority.

The Art of Influence Skills

1. Build Trust: This is the foundational skill for influencing. It is all about relationships. The higher the level of trust, the easier it is to influence.

2. Bridge Differences: Recognize yours and others’ patterns and how to adapt your communication to meet their needs.

3. Employ Influence Tactics: Apply six different Influence Tactics and learn to utilize the best of these in any given situation, based on what you know about the individuals you are trying to influence.

4. Share Your Solution: A simple five-step process to share your solutions and get buy-in from the key stakeholders.
